Spring 2009 Ferret Frolic
An event organized by the Ferret Rescue Society of Ottawa and Area
Montreal Critters is proud to participate in the Spring 2009 Ferret Frolic organized by the Ferret Rescue Society of Ottawa and Area. The event will take place in Ottawa's McNabb Park on Sunday, June 7, 2009. This year’s theme is “Fun at the Circus”, and it includes fun games such as Clown Tipping, Ferret Cannonball, Ringmaster's Challenge, Ferret Taming and Tiger Tunnel Racing!
This annual event is presented by the FRSO to help educate ferret owners and the general public about these wonderful pets and to raise funds for the society. The Spring Ferret Frolic welcomes ferrets, their owners and curious onlookers to witness a variety of fun ferret competitions. Tube races and best ferret circus costume are among this year’s events. Additional highlights include a silent auction, a display of FRSO's foster ferrets, opportunities to ask ferret experts questions on ferret health and ownership, sales tables with a large assortment of pet accessories, items for ferret owners and both human and ferret treats. Proceeds from this event are used by the FRSO to help continue their rescue efforts.
Currently, the group is caring for 52 ferrets. The FRSO does not receive any government grants and relies solely on donations and funds gathered from fundraising events. The Spring Ferret Frolic is one of the society’s biggest fundraisers. For more information about this event visit the event's page on FRSO's website or contact us. We are really happy to participate and we would love to see you there!
