Ferrets, ferrets, and more ferrets!
Our adventures at the Fall 2009 edition of the Ferret Frolic by the FRSO
On November 14th, we packed a few boxes of ferret food, toys, treats and accessories, and we traveled to Ottawa where the Ferret Rescue Society of Ottawa and Area (FRSO) held the Fall Edition of the Ferret Frolic. This event is presented by the FRSO to help educate ferret owners and the general public about these wonderful pets and to help raise funds for the society.
We didn't know what turnout to expect, as many ferret guardians communicated their concern about their fuzzies and H1N1. But the fund-raising event turned out to be a great success: a crazy number of ferrets brought their guardians to the Jack Purcell Center where they played many games, cuddle-piled, were awarded prizes and even took pictures with Santa. At the end of the day, ferrets were really tired but super happy, while humans were delighted and educated on many ferret-related topics. Kudos to the FRSO crew and volunteers on another successful Ferret Frolic!
If you are still wondering what a Ferret Frolic looks like, here's a video we put together that will give you an idea. Will you join us at the next one?
