A Look Back At 2009's PawPawtys
A year of helping animals in need, one Tweet at a time.
Started in February 2009, PawPawties are virtual parties on Twitter where everyone can have fun while raising money for charities. Just like in real-life parties, you get to meet new friends, listen to music, play quizzes and win prizes. You even get to “dress up” your Twitter avatar for the occasion!
In 2009, more than $16,000 were raised through PawPawties, donated to a dozen charities all over the world.
Montreal Critters has supported many PawPawties by donating prizes for the quizzes — but we are particularly happy to have had the chance to nominate a local animal shelter: the Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue. In Christmas 2009, the Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue received 700$ and a box filled with toys for the homeless pets! Look at the videos and then remember: all those lives were saved because of donations such as these ones.
